Imagine building the life of your dreams is like building a house or two
the big house you’ve been dreaming about since you began dreaming
you build houses a little bit everyday with the words and actions you do
like a real house yours can’t be built alone with others required for building
friends are there helping you build and the real ones bring another or two.
The fake ones just stand around the common table watching you sweat
when you look their way they being to smile, clap and once again cheer
while eating and drinking from your table and against you they will bet
talking away your builders with sarcasm directed at what you hold dear
they’ll take what’s left or loose then run away fast to add to your debt.
Fake friends are fiends who stand around waiting to tear your dream down
they’ll show up to see what’s going on under the guise of pitching in
fair-weather friends show up to the party as long they get to drink the drown
these friends will be either pitching in or helping those who are in it to win
remember all the dream homes are you helping to build with your day in town.
